Alpha-X combined I/O modules

Alpha-X combined I/O modules

Alpha-X combined I/O modules are designed to read logical states from external sensors and devices (combined inputs), and to switch or control external equipment using physical contacts and current or voltage signals (combined outputs).

Ideal for PLC I/O expansion, these modules communicate via RS-485 using Modbus RTU. This ensures native compatibility with ELHART PLCs and any third-party, Modbus RTU-compliant controllers.

Easily configure your devices with the free ELHART Configurator software.

  • Description of Alpha-X series combined I/O modules

Alpha-X DAIO 5/5P 2T/0 is designed for applications that need both temperature monitoring and digital logic. The module has 2 analog inputs for temperature sensors, also 5 digital inputs and 5 transistor-type digital outputs. Thermocouples (TCs) type J, K, L, B, S or resistance temperature detectors (RTDs) Pt100, Pt1000 can be connected to the analog inputs.

The basic error of analog input measurement does not exceed 0.25% FS. The module has 1500 V galvanic isolation between power and the RS-485 communication interface, analog and digital inputs and outputs.

Alpha-X DAIO 8/4R 2/0 features two channels for standard analog current and voltage signals: 0(4)…20 mA and 0…10 V. The basic error of analog signal measurement does not exceed 0.1% FS. Along with analog inputs, the module has 8 digital inputs and 4 relay outputs.

Analog signal values can be read in both integer and floating-point formats. In addition, the module features two 32-bit counters capable of handling input frequencies up to 4 kHz. Data from all channels is available via the RS-485 interface, Modbus RTU protocol.
