Universal PID controller with DIN rail mounting ECD1

Universal PID controller with DIN rail mounting ECD1

Universal DIN-rail PID controller ECD1 is designed for temperature measurement using resistance temperature detectors (RTDs) and thermocouples (TCs) according to GOST 6651-2009 and GOST R 8.585-2001. It also measures standard current and voltage signals, and regulates various process parameters using ON/OFF (two-position), P, PI, or PID control modes.

  • Features of ECD1 series universal PID controller
    • Depending on the modification, the control output can be an EM relay or SSR output for controlling single-phase and three-phase solid-state relays with a 3…32 VDC control signal.
    • The auxiliary relay output can be used as alarm when the controlled parameter has exceeded limits, or to implement two-stage control.
    • The compact housing allows installing ECD1 controllers in boxes, switchboards, and automation cabinets on a standard 35 mm DIN-rail.
    • Built-in RS-485 interface with Modbus-RTU protocol (for ECD1-D2-x-RS modification) allows using the controller with PLCs and HMIs as an external PID controller with auto-tuning. It can also be used as an I/O module with one universal analog input and two digital outputs.
    • The digital input (for ECD1-D2-x-D modification) can be used for remote start, stop, pause, second setpoint activation, anti-windup function activation, output latch reset, or manual mode select.
    • ECD1 PID controller has flexible display settings and access levels for operator parameters.
    • Supports N-type thermocouples.
    • Operating modes of LU2:
      • Monitoring LU1 status;
      • Monitoring device alarm;
      • ON/OFF (two-position) control with a setpoint dependent on LU1.
    • Output latching (OFF state).
    • Safe state activation for outputs if RS-485 communication is lost.
    • Write protection for EEPROM memory when changing parameters via RS-485.
    • Incremental setpoint shift mode for modifications with a digital input.
